Welcome to Dover Shores Pet Care Center, your veterinary center for professional and compassionate pet healthcare. Our Costa Mesa veterinarian, Dr. Bruce Bauersfeld, and our entire team of veterinary professionals treat your pets like family members. Whether you are bringing your pet in for a routine vaccination or urgent medical care, our animal hospital is here to make both of you as comfortable as possible.
We encourage you to start bringing your pets to our animal hospital as soon as you have a new puppy or kitten join your family. Our Costa Mesa veterinarian will thoroughly examine your new pet, provide any necessary vaccinations, and talk to you about any specific health issues associated with your pet’s breed. We will also give you pet dental and pet nutrition tips you can use at home to help keep your pet happy and healthy.
As your pet grows, we encourage you to schedule yearly or bi-yearly visits to our animal hospital for routine check-ups. During these check-ups, Dr. Bauersfeld will make sure your pet is developing properly, look for any signs of disease or pest infestation, and keep your pet up-to-date on all vaccinations. For senior pets, we offer a caring touch and support to help keep them as comfortable as possible.
If your pet has suffered some type of pet emergency, please call our animal hospital as soon as possible so we can advise you on what steps need to be taken. Should your pet need immediate care, we have a veterinarian and trained personnel on duty six days a week during office hours to look after their needs.
We have a 24 hour online pharmacy available so you can easily obtain all of your pet care supplies, from food to medications. Our Pet Care Center also offers dog grooming, dog boarding and doggy day care. Our dog boarding facility is clean and well monitored to make sure your pet is safe and happy during his stay with us. If our staff should notice any unusual symptoms while your pet is boarding here, Dr. Bauersfeld will be notified so that he can decide whether further action needs to be taken.
When your bring your pets in for dog grooming, we’ll conduct a thorough examination of their hair and skin, bathe them in a medically safe shampoo, and trim their nails so they’ll be able to continue running and walking without pain. All of our services are provided in a soothing environment by professionals who truly love and care for your pets. We provide the preventative care your pet needs and the pet information you need so that the two of you can live a long time together.
Whatever your pet care needs are, bring your family pets to Dover Shores Pet Care Center because we treat your pets like the valued family members they are.
